The Sacred Salmon Campaign team is honored to host Jay Julius—fisherman, storyteller, president of Se’Si’Le – Our Team, and former Chair of the Lummi Nation—for a special virtual event on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. PT.
Julius is a visionary leader in environmental justice, known for his powerful advocacy on behalf of Native sovereignty, salmon restoration, and the spiritual connection between people and place. His leadership continues to inspire communities across the Cascadia bioregion, and this gathering promises to be a deeply meaningful evening of storytelling, wisdom, and collective purpose.
The event is open to Sacred Salmon allies from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California, and all are encouraged to attend. Organizers hope participants from previous Sacred Salmon Town Halls and the Ignatian Summit will be able to join now that the academic year is wrapping up.
This special evening will also help prepare attendees for two upcoming initiatives:
All Our Relations: A Majestic Matriarchy, taking place June 14 in Seattle.
Xallah: Way of the Mask Journey, a 1,700-mile pilgrimage featuring ten public action campaigns in Native Nation communities, academic institutions, and places of worship from the Canadian border to Northern California, and back through the Columbia and Snake River basins.
